Materials Needed:

  • Milk cotton yarn
  • 3.5 mm crochet hook

Pattern Instructions

Glove Body:

1 Save

Start with a Slip Knot:

  • Make a slip stitch and chain 15.

Row 1:

  • Turn your work.
  • Make a single crochet in the back bumps, starting from the second chain.
  • Make 13 single crochets, then 3 single crochets in the last chain.

Row 2:

  • Chain and turn.
  • Make 13 single crochet, increase in the next three stitches.

For Row 3:

  • Chain and turn.
  • Make 13 single crochet, remember to use a stitch marker on the first stitch of each side.

Row 4:

  • Chain and turn.
  • Make 13 single crochet, increase in the next stitch, do this sequence three times.

2 Save

Row 5:

  • Chain and turn.
  • Make 13 single crochet.

After Row 6:

  • Chain and turn.
  • Make 13 single crochet, three single crochet and then increase. Repeat this sequence three times.

Row 7 and 8:

  • Continue as previous rows with single crochets and necessary increases.
  • Thumb Opening:

Row 9:

  • Make 10 single crochets, 2 half double crochets, and 3 double crochets.
  • Increase by repeating the sequence four times.

Upper Edging:

3 Save

Next Row:

  • Chain and turn.
  • Make 11 single crochet.
  • Half double crochet, skip one, make 5 double crochet in the next stitch.
  • Skip one, make 2 single crochet. Repeat for four more sets.
  • Finish the row with 12 single crochets.

Finishing:

4 Save

Last Row:

  • Chain and turn.
  • Follow by making 14 single crochet, then intersperse 3 double crochet and 4 single crochet five times.
  • Chain one and fasten off. Cut the yarn.

Making the Second Glove:

  • Repeat all steps without leaving a long tail since the second glove typically mirrors the first. Leave openings for the fingers when sewing together.

Starting the Ribbon:

  • Connect the yarn to the wrist part.
  • Chain 1 and single crochet around.
  • Slip stitch at the first single crochet.
  • Chain 8, start from the second chain from the hook, make 7 single crochet.
  • Skip one chain and make 2 slip stitches.
  • Continue with the process, working only in the back loops, till the last single crochet.
  • Chain one and connect with single crochet. Fasten off, hide, and cut the yarn.

Decoration (Optional):

  • Create 5 circles or any other decorative motifs using a magic ring and various stitches described earlier in the scrape.
