Crochet Chocolate Chip Cookie Pattern Save

Materials Needed:

  • Lighter brown yarn (for the cookie)
  • Darker brown yarn (for chocolate chips)
  • Safety eyes (12 mm if adding a face, optional)
  • F crochet hook (3.75 mm)
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors
  • Stitch marker
  • Fiberfill

Pattern For Top & Bottom Of Cookie:

Start with Lighter Brown Yarn

Round 1:

  • Create a magic ring. Make 6 single crochets (sc) into the ring. Pull tight to close.

Round 2:

  • Increase in each stitch around (2 sc in each stitch) (12 sc total).

For Round 3:

  • 1 sc, then increase (2 sc in next stitch). Repeat - around (18 sc total).

Round 4:

  • 1 sc in next 2 stitches, then increase. Repeat - around (24 sc total).

Round 5:

  • 1 sc in next 3 stitches, then increase. Repeat - around (30 sc total).

2 Save

In Round 6:

  • 1 sc in next 4 stitches, then increase. Repeat - around (36 sc total).

Round 7:

  • 1 sc in next 5 stitches, then increase. Repeat - around (42 sc total).

Round 8 (Top Part Only):

  • 1 sc in each stitch around (42 sc total).

Finish Off the Top Part

  • Slip stitch into the next stitch to finish off the top part of the cookie. Weave in the end.

Adding the Chocolate Chips:

  • Using darker brown yarn, stitch small sets of 4 stitches scattered over the top of the cookie to resemble chocolate chips. Adjust the number of stitches or loops based on how big you want your chocolate chips to be.

Creating the Cookie Bottom:

  • Repeat the pattern for the cookie top up until Round 7, no need to make Round 8 for the bottom.
  • Do not finish off the bottom part yet.

Assembly:

Prepare for Assembly:

  • Make sure not to finish off the bottom part of the cookie. Have some fiberfill ready.

Joining the Pieces:

  • Place the wrong sides together, making sure the good sides are facing outwards.

Stitching Together:

  • Using the back loops only, slip stitch around both pieces to join them together.

Filling:

  • Leave a small opening before completely closing, stuff the cookie with fiberfill to the desired thickness.

Closing Off:

  • Complete the slip stitching around to close the opening. Weave in the ends.

Additional Notes:

  • If adding a face, include safety eyes and use white and black yarn for details.

Finishing Touches:

  • Make sure all yarn ends are securely woven in. Shape the cookie as needed to ensure it has a nice, even appearance.
