Materials
- Yarn: 100% merino wool, 1500 meters per 100 gram (substitutes can be any fingering weight yarn around 120-150 meters per 50 grams)
- Needles: size 3.5 mm needles for ribbing and size 4.5 mm needles for main body
- Gauge: 3.5 stitches per cm in stockinette stitch on 4.5 mm needles
Instructions:
Cast on 110 stitches for the front piece.
- Knit 2x2 ribbing for 2 cm.
Body: Switch to 4.5 mm needles and knit in half patent stitch pattern until the piece measures 55 cm from the cast on edge.
- Armholes: Begin shaping the armholes by working a decrease every 8th row. Decrease 4 stitches at each armhole. Work a total of 4 decreases for each armhole.
- Shoulder shaping: After finishing the armholes, cast off the remaining stitches for the shoulders.
Back piece:
- Cast on 110 stitches.
- Knit 2x2 ribbing for 2 cm.
Body: Switch to 4.5 mm needles and knit in half patent stitch pattern until the piece measures 59 cm from the cast on edge, which is 4 cm longer than the front piece.
- Armholes: Shape the armholes the same way as the front piece.

Sewing:
Sew the shoulder seams together.
- Pick up stitches around the armholes and neckline and knit 2x2 ribbing for 2 cm.
- Bind off.
Finishing:
