Crochet Cocoon Hanging Basket
Materials Needed:
- Woolies Thick and Quick Size 6 Super Bulky Yarn (~106 yards, Peanut color)
- Size K (6.5 mm) Crochet Hook
- Scissors
- Blunt Needle
- Stitch Markers
- Tape Measure
Measurements:
- Diameter: ~5.5 inches
- Height (including handle): ~6.5 inches
- Depth: ~7 inches
- Circumference: ~23 inches
- Handle Hole: ~1 inch
Pattern:
Round 1:
- Start with a slip knot, chain 2.
- Make 6 single crochets (sc) in the first chain.
- Join with a slip stitch to the first sc (you can place a marker to help locate the join).
Round 2:
- Chain 1, make 2 sc in the same stitch.
- Add a marker (optional), then 2 sc in each stitch around.
- You should have 12 sc at the end of this round.
- Join with a slip stitch to the first sc.
After Round 3:
- Repeat the pattern from Round 2.
- After completing this round, you will have 24 sc.
Round 4:
- Chain 1, 2 sc in the first stitch.

After Round 13-16:
