Starting the Base:

First Increasing Round:

Chain 2 (counts as your first dc here).
Make 2 dc in each stitch around (20 dc total).

Forming the Ridge:

For rounds 5 to 18, work 30 dc in each round without increasing, slip stitching at the end of each round and chaining 2 to start the new round.

Finishing Round:

After round 18, chain 1.

Handle Construction:

Chain 2. Into the second chain from the hook, perform a foundation single crochet (fsc) until you have 40 fsc.
