Crochet Mini Ramen Bowl Pattern Save

Materials Needed:

  • White yarn
  • Red yarn
  • Nougat colored yarn (all yarn used is Hobie Friends Cotton 88)
  • 2.75 mm crochet hook
  • Clover darning needle
  • Mini Patchwork scissors (extra sharp)
  • UHU glue
  • Two wooden toothpicks
  • Stitch marker
  • Tweezers
  • Green felt (stiff, paper-like)

Bowl Pattern:

1 Save

Starting with White Yarn

Magic Circle:

  • Single crochet 6 times into the magic circle.

Join:

  • Slip stitch to join the round.

Round 2 (Back Loops Only):

2 Save

  • Chain 1 (this counts as the first stitch).
  • Increase in every stitch around by making two single crochets in the back loop only of each stitch for a total of 12 stitches.
  • Slip stitch into the first chain to join.

After Round 3:

  • Chain 1.
  • Single crochet in the same stitch, then single crochet in the next, followed by an increase. Repeat around for a total of 5 times, resulting in 18 stitches.
  • Slip stitch to join.

Round 4:

3 Save

  • Chain 1.
  • Single crochet around for a total of 18 stitches.
  • Last stitch of the round will be slip-stitched with Red Yarn to start the red stripe.

Rounds 5 and 6:

  • Chain 1 with Red Yarn, then single crochet around (18 stitches), slip stitch to join with white yarn for round 6, and repeat the process for a smooth color change.
  • For round 6, after finishing 18 single crochets in white, finish with an invisible join.

4 Save

Creating the Feet of the Bowl:

  • Work into the loops left behind between rounds 1 and 2 with white yarn.
  • Insert hook, pull up a loop, and chain one.
  • Single crochet around into these loops.
  • Slip stitch to join the round, then fasten off.

Noodles:

  • With nougat yarn, chain around 20 (adjust length as needed).
  • Wet and dry the yarn to achieve a curly, "noodly" texture.
  • Cut and glue this prepared yarn inside the bowl to simulate noodles.

5 a Save

Garnish:

  • Cut green felt into thin strips to resemble green onions.
  • Using tweezers and glue, place these felt pieces on top of the noodles, inside the bowl.

Chopsticks:

  • Cut two 1-inch pieces from wooden toothpicks for chopsticks.
  • With a dab of glue on one end, place these on the rim of the bowl as if resting on top.
