Leaves x2
(Blue yarn, 1.75 mm hook)
- Ch 10, start working in the 2nd st from the hook, 2 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 2 dc into the next loop, 1 dc,1 hdc, 2 sc.
You should now be at the end of the first side. ch 1 to take you around the end.
You'll be working on the opposite side now, putting the hook under the single loops that remain along the bottom edge of the foundation ch. You should be able to clearly count 9 of them.
- Work 2 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 2 dc into the next loop, 1 dc,
- 1 hdc, 2 sc. This should take you to the end of the 2nd side.
Make a sl st into the beginning of the foundation ch to close the end of the leaf.
- Work a slip stitch into the 1st stitch.
- Into the 2nd stitch work 1 sc, then ch 2, picot st, 2 sl st.
- In the next st, make your 2nd picot, as follows: 1 sc, ch 3, sl st into 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc.
- sl st into each of next 2 sts, then in the next st make another picot (1 sc, ch 3, sl st into 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc), sl st into each of next 2 sts.
- You should now be at the end and have 3 picot points made, as above.
- Make a picot into this end ch, same as before (1 sc, ch 3, sl st into second chain from hook, 1 sc)
- Work your way down the 2nd side. (sl st into each of next 2 sts, 1 sc, ch 2, sl st into 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc)*3, sl st into the last st to finish.
Fasten off. Leave long tail for sewing.
Berries x3
(Red yarn, 1.75 mm hook)

End off the last st, then use a yarn needle to run the tail through the sts and gather the opening closed. Finish off. Leave a long tail for sewing.
Assembly
- Sew frosting on the muffin.
- Sew leaves and berries on the top of your muffin.
- Finish off. Weave in ends.
