  • Scissors
  • Sewing needle

Head:

Start with a magic ring.

  • R1: 9 single crochet (sc) inside ring, then pull to close.
  • R2: 2 sc in every stitch (st) around (18 sts).
  • R3: 1 sc in the first 2 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat around (24 sts).
  • R4: 1 sc in the first 3 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat around (30 sts).
  • R5: 1 sc in the first 4 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat around (36 sts).
  • R6: Increase only 3 times: 1 sc in the first 11 sts, 2 sc in the next st; repeat around (39 sts).
  • R7: 1 sc in the first 6 sts, 2 sc in the next st, 12 sts, 2 sc, 12, 2 sc, 1 sc in the last 6 sts (42 sts).
  • R8-12: 1 sc in each st around.

Save

R13: 1 sc in the first 12 sts, then sc next 2 sts together; repeat around (39 sts).

  • R14-18: Continue decreasing according to pattern, finishing R18 with 24 sts.
  • R19-21: Further decrease, stuffing the head before finishing. Final round should have 6 sts.

Nose:

Save

Start with a magic ring using a 2mm hook.

  • R1: 6 sc in ring.
  • R2: 2 sc in each st around (12 sts).
  • R3: 1 sc in each st around.
  • R4: 1 sc in the first 2 sts, then sc next 2 sts together; repeat around to 9 sts.

Cap:

Start with a magic ring using a 2.5mm hook.

  • R1: 6 sc in ring.
  • Follow the pattern, increasing at specific intervals until you reach R24:
  • Increase rounds typically involve 1 single crochet in the first few stitches of a round followed by 2 single crochets in the next stitch, gradually increasing the number of stitches between increases as the cap grows.
  • Non-increase rounds: 1 sc in each st around.

Save

The final rounds include specific increases to shape the cap, ending with 48 sts in round 24.

Cap Trim and Pom-Pom:

Save

  • Crochet a white trim around the base of the cap using a sequence of double crochets and slip stitches.
  • Create a pom-pom using acrylic yarn, tying it off, cutting, and fastening it to the cap.

Assembly:
