Crochet Grim Reaper

Materials Needed:

Black yarn
Gray yarn
Purple yarn
Crochet hook (size F)
Tapestry needle
Small round multicolor lights (like those used for pumpkins)
Scissors
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Shish kebab stick
Small felt pieces
Measuring tape

Instructions:

Body:

Start with a magic loop.
Chain 1, then make 10 half double crochets into the loop.
Tighten the loop and slip stitch to the first half double crochet to close the round.
For the second round: Chain 1, make one half double crochet in the same stitch. In each stitch around, make two half double crochets. Repeat this around.
Continue increasing in the same pattern if needed until the desired size of the body is achieved, remembering to slip stitch and chain 1 at the start of each new round.

Arms (Make 2):

Start with a magic loop.
Chain 1, place 6 half double crochets into the loop.
Tighten the loop, slip stitch to close the round. Chain 1 to start the next round.
For each stitch, make one half double crochet. Increase in subsequent rounds as per the body pattern until arm reaches desired length.

Hood:
