Crochet Christmas Star Garland Pattern Save

Materials:

  • 4ply acrylic yarn
  • 3.5 mm crochet hook

Instructions:

1 Save

Make a Magic Circle:

  • Create a loop with your yarn and insert your hook into the loop.
  • Yarn over (YO) and pull up a loop.
  • YO and pull through both loops on the hook.

Chain 2:

  • YO and pull through a loop on the hook.
  • YO and pull through both loops on the hook.
  • Repeat once more.

Make 14 Double Crochet (dc) into the Circle:

  • YO and insert your hook into the circle.
  • YO and pull up a loop.
  • YO and pull through 2 loops on the hook.

2 Save

  • Repeat 13 more times.

Slip Stitch (sl st):

  • YO and insert your hook into the first dc.
  • YO and pull through both loops on the hook.

Chain 6:

  • YO and pull through a loop on the hook.
  • Repeat 5 more times.

Single Crochet (sc) into the 3rd Chain:

  • Skip 2 chains.
  • YO and insert your hook into the 3rd chain from the hook.
  • YO and pull up a loop.

3 Save

  • YO and pull through both loops on the hook.

Half Double Crochet (hdc) into the Next Chain:

  • YO and insert your hook into the next chain.
  • YO and pull up a loop.
  • YO and pull through 2 loops on the hook.

Double Crochet (dc) into the Next Chain:

  • YO and insert your hook into the next chain.
  • YO and pull up a loop.
  • YO and pull through 2 loops on the hook.

4 Save

Triple Crochet (tr) into the Last Chain:

  • YO and insert your hook into the last chain.
  • YO and pull up a loop.
  • YO and pull through 2 loops on the hook.
  • YO and pull through 2 loops on the hook.
  • YO and pull through 2 loops on the1 hook.

Skip 2 Stitches:

  • Skip the next 2 stitches.

Slip Stitch (sl st) into the 3rd Stitch:

  • YO and insert your hook into the 3rd stitch from the hook.
  • YO and pull through both loops on the hook.

Repeat Steps 5-11:

  • Continue repeating steps 5-11 throughout the round.

Cut the Yarn and Hide the End:

  • Cut the yarn, leaving a small tail.
  • Use a yarn needle to weave the tail through the back loops of the stitches to secure it.

Join the Stars Together:

  • Using a slip stitch, join the stars together by chaining 5 between each star.
  • Continue adding stars until you reach your desired length.

Finish the Garland:

  • Chain 5 and slip stitch to the first star.
  • Cut the extra yarn from both ends.
