Instructions
Cast on a number of stitches that is a multiple of 4 + 2 for turning knit or cast on a number of stitches that is a multiple of 4 for circular knitting.
Row 1 (wrong side): Knit all stitches.
Row 2: Slip the first stitch, yarn forward, slip the next 3 stitches knitwise, knit the next stitch, yarn forward, slip the next 3 stitches knitwise, knit the last stitch.
For Row 3: Knit all stitches.
Row 4: Knit all stitches.
Row 5: Slip the first stitch, knit the first stitch from the 3 slipped stitches in the previous row, knit the yarn forward. Knit the middle stitch from the slipped stitches, bring the yarn forward over the stitch just knitted. Slip the last stitch from the slipped stitches, knit the next stitch, yarn forward. Repeat the process of knitting from the slipped stitches and yarn forwards until one stitch remains, knit the last stitch.
For Row 6: Knit all stitches.
Row 7: Slip the first stitch, knit 2 stitches, yarn forward, slip the next 3 stitches knitwise, knit the next stitch, yarn forward, slip the next 3 stitches knitwise, knit the last 2 stitches.
Row 8: Knit all stitches.
Repeat rows 5-8 for the pattern.
