Row 1:

  • Start with a magic ring. Make 6 single crochet (sc) in the magic ring.

Row 2:

  • 6 increases. For each increase, make 2 sc in the same stitch (12 stitches total at the end).

1 Save

In Row 3:

  • [1 sc, 1 increase] repeat 6 times (18 stitches total at the end).

Row 4:

  • 1 sc in each stitch around (18 sc).

Row 5:

  • [1 sc, 1 increase, 1 sc] repeat 6 times (24 stitches total at the end).

After Row 6:

  • 1 sc in each stitch around (24 sc).

Row 7:

  • [3 sc, 1 increase] repeat 6 times (30 stitches total at the end).

Row 8:

  • 1 sc in each stitch around (30 sc).

2 Save

For Row 9:

  • [2 sc, 1 increase, 2 sc] repeat 6 times (36 stitches total at the end).

Row 10 to 13:

  • 1 sc in each stitch around (36 sc).

Start Decreasing:

Row 14:

  • [2 sc, 1 decrease] repeat 6 times (27 stitches total at the end).

After Row 15:

  • [3 sc, 1 decrease] repeat 6 times (24 stitches total at the end).\

3 Save

Row 16:

  • [1 sc, 1 decrease] repeat 6 times, alternating with a regular sc (18 stitches total at the end).

Row 17:

  • Repeat the decrease pattern to close up the top (12 stitches total at the end).

Finishing Off:

  • Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail. Use a yarn needle to weave through the last row's stitches and pull tight to close. Weave in the end.

4 Save

Leaf (Make 3):

Row 1:

  • With green yarn create a magic ring, and make 6 sc in the magic ring.

Row 2:

Row 7:
