You start with a simple technique called a magic ring and then use basic crochet stitches to shape the blueberry. As you follow the steps, you will increase and decrease the stitches to make the blueberry round. Near the end, you'll add fun details like eyes and a little frilly top to give it character.

The pattern only needs some blue yarn, a crochet hook, and stuffing to bring the blueberry to life. This project is great for both beginners and experienced crocheters looking for a quick and enjoyable craft.

Materials Needed:

  • Size 6 chunky yarn in Classic Blue color
  • 5.5 mm crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Bobby pin or a stitch marker
  • 20 mm safety eyes
  • Yarn needle
  • Polyester fiberfill for stuffing

Finishing:

  1. Slip stitch to the first dc, chain one and cut the yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing. Pull the tail through the loop to secure.
  2. Stuff the blueberry with polyester fiberfill. Adjust the amount of stuffing as you sew it closed to ensure it’s firm but squishy.
  3. Using a yarn needle, weave the tail through the stitches of round 13 to close the opening. Make sure to distribute the stuffing evenly before completely sealing.
  4. Fasten off and hide the tail inside the amigurumi.

Additional Notes:

  • Feel free to customize it with embroidered cheeks or other decorative elements.
