This simple and joyful process turns strands of yarn into a stunning display of color and beauty. Picture a bunch of these handmade lilies arranged in a vase, brightening up a corner of your home or making a heartfelt gift for someone special.

Crochet Calla Lily Flowers Bouquet

Materials:

  • You will need yarn in your chosen color for the flower petal (pink is used in the example).
  • Green yarn for the flower torus and leaf.
  • A crochet hook suitable for the yarn.
  • A magic ring.
  • Scissors.

5 Save

Petal (with pink yarn):

Starting with a magic ring:

  • Make a magic ring.
  • Crochet 10 single crochets (sc) into the magic ring.

Round 1:

  • Close the magic ring and join with a slip stitch (sl st) to the first sc to close the round.
  • Chain (ch) 2 (do not count these as a stitch).

Round 2 (Increase Round):

  • Increase by making 2 double crochets (dc) in each stitch around.
  • Cut off the yarn tail as you go.
  • End the round with a sl st to the first dc, ch 1 to start the next round.

1 Save

For Round 3:

Pattern:

  • 1 sc in the first three spaces, make an increase in the next space (2 sc in one space).
  • Repeat this pattern twice around.

Rounds 4-5:

  • Follow the pattern provided on the screen (video) for these rounds.

2 Save

After Round 6 (Half Double Crochet Round):

  • Ch 2 (do not count as a stitch).
  • Do 1 half double crochet (hdc) in each space for a total of 6 hdc.
  • Then do a hdc increase (2 hdc in one space).
  • Continue the pattern: 3 hdc, then 1 hdc increase, and repeat twice.
  • Close the round with a sl st.

Round 7:

  • Ch 2 and start in the same space with 1 double crochet (dc).
  • Continue with 7 dc in the first seven spaces.
  • Then do a dc increase (2 dc in one space) and repeat 16 times.
  • In the next space, make 1 triple crochet (tr), ch 4, and create a picot by sl st in the second ch from the hook and the next two.
    3 Save
  • In the same space, make another tr.
  • From the next space, do 1 dc increase in each space, repeating the pattern until the end of round seven.
  • Cut the yarn and pull through the loop to secure.

Flower Torus (with green yarn):

Torus Base:

  • Start by attaching green yarn to the second space from the end.
  • Ch 2 (this ch does not count as a stitch) and do 1 hdc.
  • Work 4 more hdc in the next four spaces, hiding the tail of the new yarn.
  • Cut off the starting yarn tail.
  • Ch 2 and turn to the other side.
  • Skip the first space, make 1 hdc in the second space, and continue with 4 hdc in this row.

Flower Heart:

  • Start with a magic ring, do 6 sc in the circle.
  • Work a sl st to close this round and ch 1 to start the next round.
  • From rounds 2 to 10, work 1 sc in each space in a spiral (do not close each round but keep working in a continuous spiral).

Leaf (with green yarn):

Leaf Base:

  • Start with a slip knot and ch 28.
  • Begin in the second ch from the hook, do 1 sc.
  • Do another sc in the next ch.
  • Do 1 hdc in each of the next two ch spaces.
    4 Save
  • Work 20 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, and finally, 3 sc in the last space to turn the corner.
  • Continue on the other side, working the mirror image of the stitches just done.
  • Insert craft wire for support if desired and cover it with sc in each space.
  • Close the round with a sl st.
