Amigurumi Crochet 3 In 1 Ghost

Materials Needed:

  • Scissors
  • 4 mm crochet hook
  • Stitch markers
  • Yarn needle
  • Safety eyes (8 mm)
  • Chanille chunky yarn in various colors
  • Pins
  • Toy stuffing

Ghost Body:

Magic Ring:

  • Start with six single crochets (sc) in a magic ring.

In Round 2:

  • Perform six increases by doing two sc in each stitch, bringing the stitch count to 12.

Round 3:

  • Alternate between one sc and an increase in the next stitch all around, total stitch count now 18.

1 Save

Round 4:

  • Do two sc and then an increase. Repeat this pattern all around to reach 24 stitches.

After Round 5:

  • Three sc followed by an increase, repeating around to total 30 stitches.

Rounds 6 to 12:

  • Simply do 30 sc in each round.

Round 13 (Front Loop Only):

  • Start creating the frills by doing three half double crochets (hdc) and then a slip stitch (sl st) in the next, repeating around.

Place the safety eyes:

  • between rounds 7 and 8, approximately four or five stitches apart.

2 Save

Bottom Closing (Working in Back Loops for Round 14):

Round 14:

  • Three sc followed by a decrease, repeat six times to reduce the total stitch count to 24.

Round 15:

  • Alternate between a sc and a decrease, repeating around.

Before Round 16:

  • Stuff the body to your liking.

Round 16:

  • Perform decreases all around. Then close the opening by threading a yarn needle through the outer loops of each stitch and pulling tight.

3 Save

Witch Hat:

Start with a magic ring:

  • Six sc in the ring.

Rounds 2 and 3:

  • Do six sc in each round.

Round 4:

  • Alternate between a sc and an increase, three times (total 9 stitches).

Increase rounds:

  • gradually to widen the hat, adding color bands as desired (e.g., black yarn for a band), and create the brim by increasing stitches in one round and finishing with a round of sc.

Candy Corn Hat:

  • Similar start as the witch hat, but color transitions (white, orange, yellow) to mimic candy corn, and shape accordingly.

4 Save

Pumpkin Treat Bag:

Start with orange yarn:

  • Six sc in a magic ring.

Increase rounds:

  •  to create a spherical shape.

Decreases to close:

  • followed by light stuffing and sewing it up.

Add an arm:

  • Sc a small cylindrical shape for the arm, attach it to the side of the ghost where desired.

Create detailing:

  •  for the pumpkin face with black acrylic yarn or other decorative elements.

Finishing Touches:

  • Add facial features like a mouth using black yarn between the safety eyes.
  • Sew on the accessories to your ghost plushie.
