Pattern Corrections & Tips

Correction:

  • In the original video, the herringbone stitch instructions are not fully standard. For best results, use your preferred method for herringbone stitches (or substitute with half double crochet if you prefer a simpler texture).
  • Chains at the beginning and end: Be careful about row counts for symmetry on both sides.

Tips:

  • Always count stitches frequently to ensure symmetry, especially on shoulder straps.
  • Try the shirt on before final seaming for best fit.
  • Use a stitch marker to help align sleeves and cuffs evenly.

Conclusion

This puff sleeve crochet shirt features textured ribbing and a unique herringbone stitch body, with easy-to-follow shaping for a modern, comfortable look. With its clear construction steps, you can confidently make this design for yourself or as a gift.
