Crochet Amigurumi Melody is a delightful adventure that pulls you into the world of making your own adorable Melody characters with some yarn and a hook. It's like magic in your fingertips as you turn simple loops into a cute, huggable friend.

Materials Needed:

  • Yarns of your choice
  • 2 mm crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Stitch marker
  • Hot glue gun
  • Polyfill (for stuffing)
  • Tapestry needle

Hat Pattern:

1 Save

Round 1:

  • Start with a magic ring, make 6 single crochet (sc) in the ring.

Round 2:

  • Increase in each stitch around (12 sc).

After Round 3:

  • 1 sc in the next stitch, increase in the next stitch, repeat around (18 sc).

Round 4:

  • 1 sc in the next 2 stitches, increase in the next stitch, repeat around (24 sc).

Round 5:

  • 1 sc in the next 3 stitches, increase in the next stitch, repeat around (30 sc).

For Round 6:

  • 2 sc, increase, 2 sc, repeat around (36 sc).

Round 7-8:

  • Sc in each stitch around (36 sc each round).

Round 9:

  • 2 sc, decrease, 2 sc, repeat around to reduce stitch count.
  • Continue decreasing in subsequent rounds until the top closes.

Ears Pattern (make 2):

2 Save

Round 1:

  • Start with a magic ring, 6 sc in the ring.

Round 2:

  • Increase in each stitch around (12 sc).

After Round 3-5:

  • Sc in each stitch around (12 sc each round).

Round 6:

  • 1 sc, decrease, repeat  around to taper the ear.

Round 7-9:

  • Sc in each stitch around, stuff with polyfill, then close and fasten off.

Face Pattern:

3 Save

  • Start with a slipknot and chain 7.
  • Begin the first round by inserting the hook into the second chain from the hook, and make 5 sc along the chain, 3 sc in the last chain.
  • Working on the other side of the foundation chain, make 4 sc, then increase in the next stitch.

Subsequent Rounds:

  • Continue working around in a similar pattern, increasing at each end to form an oval shape.

4 Save

Bow Tie:

  • Start with a magic ring.
  • Chain 3, make 3 double crochet (dc) in the ring, then chain 3 and slip stitch into the ring.
  • Repeat for the second half of the bow tie.
  • Wrap yarn around the center of the bow tie to form its middle part, secure with a knot.

5 a Save

Assembly:

  • Sew or glue the face, ears, bow tie, and other components onto the bag charm as you prefer.
  • Use a hot glue gun for quick assembly or sew for a more durable hold.
